Maybe a hint: I tried to export raw pictures to a Piwigo gallery, and that time, the orientation was wrong and the photo description was lost.<br>I didn't encounter this problem previously, as I used to edit my photos, thus converted them to jpeg, before exporting to Piwigo.<br>
