On Ubuntu the KDE color schemes (themes) comes with package
kdebase-workspace-data and some extra color schemes in package
kdeartwork. You also have a few other theme packages that also have
color schemes files. Maybe Gnome with Digikam doesn't depend install
them? I could add kdebase-workspace-data as a recommended package with
digikam2 if that is so for Gnome users. Running Kubuntu with Digikam2
will make you have them from start.
