I've been exploring this function, and really like -<br>
<br>
1. the "scan for missing thumbnails" function;<br>
2. the fact that created thumbnails are embedded, so that when an
image is renamed the thumbnail is not lost.<br>
<br>
Now, if I may suggest -<br>
<br>
1. This scan, on the modal window in which the choice to select it
is offered (gotten to by menu item Tools > Rebuild all
thumbnails) describe it as "scan for <i>and create</i> missing
thumbnails". It does not say, at present, that they will created, so
selecting that option, for newcomers, is a bit of a shot in the
dark.<br>
2. In the online manual in which this function is minimally
documented, mention really should be made of this scan option and
how it behaves (that it also creates a thumbnail with one is
missing), AND of the fact that created thumbnails are EMBEDDED in
the main image.<br>
<br>
Just a thought, for what it's worth. I'm totally delighted to be
able so easily to create missing thumbnails.<br>
