Hi,

I have a D300 to. personally i shoot only in Raw. After i tag and rate the raw in digikam and after i convert the raw in jpg with a batch in Nikon capture.
After conversion jpg and raw are tag and rate.

in View NX you could see raw and jpeg who have the same name as one picture.
you could filter picture to see :
-only raw
-only Jpeg
-raw and Jpeg
-raw + Jpeg as one pricture
digikam have the same sort of filter except for the last one.
by the raw + Jpeg filter you could tag the two pictures at the same time.

This feature could bee very interesting in digikam

Best Regards.

--
Sylvain CROUZILLAT

Hey list.

I am a lucky owner of a Nikon D300 and am used to shoot in raw+(jpg) fine
mode. The idea behind this is to simply use the jpg if the photo looks like it
should be, or develop the raw image to get the most out of it where needed.

When it comes to processing with digikam i was wondering if it would be
possible to set the image tags for the jpg and raw images in one go, or if
there would be any other kind of synchronizing magic for that.

My workflow currently is like the following.I transfer all images from the cf-
card using a USB card reader. I configured digikam to sort all files in
folders corresponding to the images shooting date and subfolders for the jpgs
and nefs. After that i start tagging and ranking the jpgs. In that step i
would like to have all corresponding nefs tagged and ranked as well.

I create 'real' albums by creating named searches using tagging, ranking and
date metadata, which is a real fantastic feature of digikam (which - yes -
some other win and mac apps have as well, but ...).

Is that already possible within digikam? Or is there some tool outside of
digikam to make use of?

Best regards.

Jens
