The FS is EXT4. The external drive doesent work as muchs as the internal sATA, also EXT4 FS. The energy saving system on the external actually stops the drive from spinning.<BR>
I have testet if the drives are slow but I get sustaind transfer rates of 20 -30 MB/sec when copying, regardles of direction (read internal - write external or the oposit). I do not consider this very slow.<BR>
