Bertrand,<br><br>For any performance reason, view mode use :<br><br>- With JPEG files, a reduced size image loading.<br>- With RAW files, the reduced embeded JPEG image provided by camera (this is not the RAW image data in fact)
<br>- With other files format like PNG and TIFF witch support IPTC, the reduced JPEG preview image. This one is embeded by digiKam image editor and kipi RAW converter into IPTC preview tag.<br><br>Regards<br><br>Gilles Caulier
