Good morning Pierre,

TAG's are not an option. I can't tell the user that they have to create a TAG with the item number for every photo that shows a product. On the other hand, there is a risk that several TAGs with different article numbers will be accidentally clicked on for a product image. Currently I need about 10 custom fields for the photos, which is a joke with TAG'.

Actually, I imagined it would be like ThumbsPlus... You can specify various user-defined fields, which are then displayed as an input field for each photo. It was great in ThumbsPlus.

@Gord

At the moment I'm building a script that writes a JSON string into the caption field that the user can fill. However, the risk of incorrect entry and the JSON string becoming invalid is far too great. The data in the caption field is stored in the database across the board, which would be enough for me. However, the user can read in the META data of the photo again via a menu item and thus overwrite the caption field. However, if I now want to write the data from the caption field into the photo, all photos are always described and the timestamp of all photos is therefore changed. I haven't found that you can only do this for selected photos.

Custom fields seem to be a foreign concept for common photo management systems and TAGs may be suitable for social media, but they are unsuitable for my needs.

MfG
Mario
