Still wondering ... Is import by scanner available in DK 8.0.0

I posed the question at the end of May, wondering if DK 8.0.0 included import by scanner. I don't see the option and cannot figure out how to access SANE within My Win 11 Pro64 bit system.

Maybe it is not in version 8.0.0, and is promised in 8.1.0.
