This does not appear to be available for debian bookworm without adding
a new deb line to /etc/apt/sources.

Which the day old 8.2.0 AppImage still cannot import what it can see in
my camera. It CAN see the contents of whatever target directory is
selected but cannot write to it. Shotwell has no problems importing but
its output directory structure does not seem to be readily available to
digiKam.

The newer versions log this to the shell that launches it:

[0725/160728.606989:WARNING:resource_bundle_qt.cpp(119)]
locale_file_path.empty() for locale
[0725/160728.737566:WARNING:resource_bundle_qt.cpp(119)]
locale_file_path.empty() for locale
[0725/160728.805152:WARNING:resource_bundle_qt.cpp(119)]
locale_file_path.empty() for locale
[0725/160731.073663:WARNING:resource_bundle_qt.cpp(119)]
locale_file_path.empty() for locale

There were 4 new pictures I wanted, when I pressed Download.

So I've got to use shotwell to get the new pix, then go play hunt the
wumpas with gimp to find it. Please fix this...
