[Digikam-users] Which version

Hi all,

I have been given the daunting task of organising 4TB of photos & 2TB Video
for a Film Locations company which
is constantly growing.

I have looked at a number of systems, but DK seems to do everything
required.

I would like to set the system up on a NAS, so the guys can also access it
while they are away from the office and
creating location packages to present to clients via jAlbum is a must and
eventually running the entire database online.

Geo tagging is a must, does DK log the direction the photo was taken ?
If so, can the direction be watermarked on the photo like the old date
stamp film cameras did ?

I am trying to decide which version of DK to install.

I and the photographers know nothing about Linux and see there are issues
with the windows version, which is
a worry as all our machines run windows.

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

George
