[Digikam-users] after upgrade digikam won't start

I am an openSUSE user, don't know Ubuntu well, but when I have similar 
issues in openSUSE
I start digikam from the command line (CLI) in a terminal window.

Usually, additional messages/error messages  reveal the issues.
