Hi all

I did some tests on the RAW conversion (Nikon).
I converted a picture (12MP, 10.5Mbyte, lossless .NEF compression) to
jpg (100% quality)
and viewed the pictures later in digikam lighttable

-Nikon Capture NX (windows) (5.5MByte, no color/brightness difference)
-HeliconFilter (windows) (6.4 MByte, no color/brightness difference)
-bibble 4.9 trial (linux) (13.8MByte, more colorfull and darker)
-digikam raw converter (8.1MByte, not rotated, and only a quarter of the
view size, and a lot of jpg artefacts)
after editing, rotating and saving again (14.4MByte, more colorfull,
and no artefatcs anymore)
-digikam editor, save as jpg, (14.8MByte, more colorfull, no artefacts)
-digikam editor, save as jpg, the capture NX jpg (8.2MByte, no
color/brightnes difference)

all options for the raw converter are disabled.
croma subsampling disabled
color managment is disabled
Monitor is calibrated with xcalib (and a spyder profile)

Why this color changes happen?

What I am doing or thinking wrong, which setup I missed?

Michael
