With the today Debian (Sid) dist-upgrade I've received:

libexif-dev libgphoto2-2-dev libexif-dev libgphoto2-2-dev digikam
libgphoto2-2 libgphoto2-port0 libtiff-tools libtiff4

and now digiKam works fine. And with Panasonic DMC-FZ30 as "Panasonic
DMC-FZ20" detected and working! I love free software ;)

Thanks!

$ dpkg -l "digikam*" "*gphoto*" | grep ^i | awk '{print $2, $3}'
digikam 0.8.1+0.8.2-rc1-2
digikamimageplugins 0.8.1-2
gphoto2 2.2.0-3
libgphoto2-2 2.2.0-5
libgphoto2-2-dev 2.2.0-5
libgphoto2-port0 2.2.0-5
