erm, I got the svn repositories for digikam, digikamimageplugins,
kipi-plugins, libkipi and exiv2. I compiled everything ok like described in
the web page and this trunk version of digikam works well. everything
compiled fine.

the problem is that the gpssync kipi plugin doesn't appear in the list (!!).
It is compiled and installed correctly:
pjlv at archon ~ $ ls -l /usr/local/digikam-trunk/lib/kde3/kipiplugin_gpssync.*
... Dec 19 21:29 /usr/local/digikam-trunk/lib/kde3/kipiplugin_gpssync.la
... Dec 19 21:29 /usr/local/digikam-trunk/lib/kde3/kipiplugin_gpssync.so
pjlv at archon ~ $

but it doesn't seem to be enabled in digikam... any help? is there a
compilation switch to enable it?

Thanks again and sorry for being lame.
Best regards,
