the machines, having gained sentience, are trying to join in on the age-old
human tradition of "April Fools day" jokes. unfortunately, "-1 requests"
isn't quite as funny (or subtle) to us humans as it is to the machines.
to the list server machine: ha. ha. nice try. we still kick your ass at jokes
