Large Playlist (16625 entries) gets very slow usingn mysql

Because the internal structure of Amarok 1 was never meant for this
usecase. Amarok 1 needs to keep a lot of data in memory for the
playlist, causing operations on it to slow down quickly as it grows
longer. Amarok 2 technically handles large playlists a lot better but
is visually even less optimized for it ( its very hard hitting a
specific spot in a playlist that long when scrolling in the new
playlist ).

If this is really the usecase you feel you need, Juk is a better
application as it was designed specifically around this usage pattern.

But really, give dynamic playlists a go, I am pretty sure you will not
look back! :-)
