<p>I think it's a good idea. I would host one, but I don't know how it would be, I'm under-age, and I don't know if there are enough people in my town willing to attend.. Will make some research though ;)</p>

once we had the idea to organize a large Amarok 2.0 release party.<br>
Afaik no one currently wants to oganize such a large event and take<br>
the financial risks.<br>

So, here is another idea, inspired by Mozilla 1.0.0[1]: Decentralized<br>
release parties.<br>
<br>
We set up a (Wiki-)page where everyone is able to add their release<br>
parties, publish a date when they should take place and hope for many<br>
small ones all around the world.<br>
I would start one here in Karlsruhe.<br>
