No raffles meaning whatever we do there can't be a single person that
receives something different then any other donor? That makes it quite
difficult to give an incentive beyond "supporting Amarok" doesn't it.

How about this:
We add a special "Thank you" plasmoid to our context area for the
first release after rocktober finishes. It will show all the names of
the donors plus a custom message when donating a certain minimal
amount and final inclusion approved by the amarok committee (i.e. we
filter out anything not P.C.).
It should look very pretty, not just a simple list but animated. I'm
sure we can get a designer to whip something up.
