Still Ubuntu 19.10 provides MariaDB 10.3 as alternative, which has a compatible library (libmariadbd) that works exactly the same as mysql </div><div><br></div><div>At the following bug report I have attached a Docker image for Ubuntu 19.10 that builds Amarok packages with MariaDB. Even if you are not familiar with Docker, you can use it as a reference to build your own Amarok. 19+ I've started an implementation of SQLite as a possible alternative.<br>

I've created a branch that creates the SQLite DB, loads albums and <br>
creates/plays dynamic playlists.<br>

There is (obviously) more work to do, but it's a start,<br>
