Hi Andrea,<div><br></div><div>I've successfully compiled and run Amarok on OS X 10.7, it won't be hard if you are willing to spend some time to compile it and use macports. Here is a simple how-to:</div><div><br></div>
<div>1. Download and install Macports</div><div>2. Install these packages using macports: git, ccache, cmake, dbus, kdelibs4, kde4-runtime, mysql5, taglib, taglib-extras</div><div>3. You may need to edit '/opt/include/include/kdemacros.h' before compiling since there's a bug in macports:</div>
<div>Add '#define __KDE_HAVE_GCC_VISIBILITY' before '#ifdef __KDE_HAVE_GCC_VISIBILITY'</div><div>4. Just follow <a href="http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/2.0_Development_HowTo">http://amarok.kde.org/wiki/2.0_Development_HowTo</a> to compile Amarok like in Linux.</div>
<div><br></div><div>If you have any issue you can email me directly.</div><div><br></div><div>Cheers,</div><div><br><div class="gmail_quote">On Fri, Jul 20, 2012 at 6:12 AM, andrea diamantini <span dir="ltr"><<a href="mailto:adjam7@gmail.com" target="_blank">adjam7@gmail.com</a>></span> wrote:<br>

About mac, I noticed in fact you provide a so called "mac port". Maybe it is the easiest thing, given the limited disposition of mac users/developers.</div>

Subject: Help on packaging<br>
To: <a href="mailto:amarok@kde.org" target="_blank">amarok@kde.org</a><br>
<br>
<br>
Hi guys,<br>
I'm Andrea Diamantini, rekonq main developer (and amarok user).<br>
Browsing amarok website I noticed you can provide a lot of different<br>
packages. I'm expecially interested in the mac and windows one, given<br>
that some users requested me a rekonq package for these bizarre<br>
operative systems :)<br>
Can you give me some hints, at least for the mac one, as we don't have<br>
regular developers using it?<br>
<br>
</div>I am afraid the Mac distribution is not where we provide packages<br>
currently, but maybe others can give more useful input here.<br>
<br>
Regards, Myriam<br>
