Hi Leo,

Your learning was certainly not in vain. It has been a while that Amarok
developers are discussing about moving out from Mysql Embedded, including
MariaDB's replacement. The reason is that it is likely that MariaDB will
drop support for libmariadbd since Mysql did it. Thus, an Sqlite backend
seems like the best replacement as default DB. I think Myriam can say more
about this.

I will take a look at your code as soon as I have some time.
